Position: Maintenance Technician

Location: Perry Hall, MD

Pay: $25 to $30/hour

Experience:

  1. 5 years of apartment maintenance experience and on-call rotation
  2. Experience working in or assisting in managing an apartment community

Education:

  1. High school diploma or GED required
  2. CFC Certification required

Type: Full-time; Contract

Schedule: Day Shift, 7:30am to 4:00pm

 

HireOne Staffing is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join a growing and dynamic team! 

 

Job Description:

  1. Complete daily work orders and in-unit repairs (HVAC, appliances, electrical, plumbing)
  2. Prepare and turn over vacant units for new residents
  3. Perform snow removal as needed
  4. Participate in an 8-week rotating on-call schedule (after hours, weekends, holidays)
  5. Assist with training staff
  6. Act as supervisor in the absence of the Maintenance Supervisor
  7. Maintain a safe and clean working environment


Position Requirements:   

  1. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  2. Knowledge of Fair Housing laws
  3. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  4. Reliable transportation required
  5. Ability to read/write English and perform intermediate math
  6. Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical tasks (climbing, kneeling, crawling, etc.)
  7. Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  8. Dependability and integrity
  9. Excellent communication skills
  10. Good time management
  11. Commitment to safety and quality work
  12. A positive, team-oriented attitude
