Position: Maintenance Technician 

Location: New Castle, DE

Pay: Starting at $23/hour + Sign-on bonus of $500 after 90 days!

Experience: Previous related experience.

Education: High School diploma or technical school preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Type: Full-time; Direct Hire

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm (On-call nights and weekends rotation)

HireOne Staffing is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join a growing and dynamic team!   

Job Description:  

1. Troubleshoot electrical issues, including outlets, switches, and lighting fixtures; repair or replace wiring and fixtures as needed.
2. Repair and maintain plumbing systems, including fixing leaks, unclogging pipes, and replacing fixtures.
3. Conduct inspections of electrical panels, breaker boxes, and other electrical components; perform repairs or coordinate with licensed electricians.
4. Perform HVAC maintenance such as cleaning coils, checking refrigerant levels, and replacing thermostats.
5. Install or replace appliances, fixtures, and equipment such as sinks, toilets, and lighting.
6. Assist with small-scale remodeling projects and upgrades.
7. Coordinate with vendors for specialized repairs or parts procurement.
8. Keep detailed logs of maintenance activities, parts used, and repairs performed.
9. Conduct safety inspections and ensure all work complies with local codes and regulations.
10. Train and supervise Level 1 technicians when needed, providing guidance on technical tasks.

Position Requirements:    

1. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities across departments.
2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
3. High level of professionalism, discretion, and customer service orientation.
4. Ability to work independently while supporting a collaborative team environment.
5. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
6. Ability to learn and work within property management and work order software systems.
7. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for occasional property site visits.
